And her sentence "The horse has thrown the rider; the dark forces are bubbling" seems to echo these lines from Yeats' "The Second Coming" (especially the first line I'm quoting): “The falcon cannot hear the falconer; / Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; / Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, / The blood-dimmed tide is loosed.”
